We are looking for Usher Team Leaders for the 8:15 a.m. service for the months of December, March, April, May, July and August. The teams are already in place, but we need leaders for these teams. This would involve informing the team of changes in the order of worship and making sure there are enough ushers to serve that month. There are written instructions that you could review along with a list of ushers. Please contact Rose Gorman, email@example.com or phone 352-753-2207 to become an Usher Team Leader.

We need more volunteers!!!
Please come join your fellow NLPC volunteers at our monthly “Feed the School Children” gathering. Let’s get together on Thursday, November 1, at 9:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall.
We will pack large food bags for 110 deserving children who attend The Villages Elementary School of Lady Lake. Each child receives 12-14 nutritional snacks/meals every single weekend.
When you arrive, it will take less than an hour of your time. So, please put November 1st on your calendar!
Your help will be very much appreciated.
Beginning on Sunday, November 4,
The Contemporary Service will start at 9:30 a.m.
That Sunday is also the time change from daylight savings back to standard time, when everyone gets an extra hour of sleep.
The Session approved this slight change in our Sunday morning worship schedule to ease crowding in the parking lot between the second and third services. The second service, which includes some elements (e.g. a Children’s Time) not in the Sanctuary services, is still targeted to finish in an hour. With the earlier start, the added cushion between services should help open up more spots for early arrivers for the 11:15 a.m. service.
Since the 8:15 a.m. service typically finishes a few minutes early and 8:15 a.m. attendees leave fairly quickly for breakfast or other activities, the Session wants to try moving the second service earlier without shifting the first service time. This is easier on choir members who arrive very early for warm-up and stay—or return—to participate in both the first and third services.
The revised schedule will be as follows.
It's that time of the year again. Time to start thinking about Christmas shoeboxes and the happiness they bring to so many children around the world. In addition, this is their first opportunity to learn about our Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel.
We will be needing volunteers on Monday, October 15th, to help fold the shoeboxes. We also need volunteers on Saturday, November 17 to pack the shoeboxes into cartons and also help to load the truck after the shoeboxes have been collected. Sign-up sheets are at the Discipleship Desk in the Lobby.
If anyone has any questions about Operation Christmas Child or would like to volunteer, please contact Bob and Chris Hayen at 352-753-4955 or email them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
