I am from Southern Pines, N.C. and have managed several specialty metals companies. I am a former member of the Army National Guard. My wife, Victoria, and I  joined North Lake in 2016.

While at North Lake Church, I’ve served as an usher, a Bay Hill Golf volunteer, helped with the yard sale, and was the co-chair of the “Count Me In” campaign.

My husband and I moved to The Villages in 2007 and shortly thereafter we joined North Lake Presbyterian Church.  I started my business career as a CPA in California and continued my career in the corporate world in finance with several corporations.   My most recent job, and first time I worked for a non-profit, was as CFO of Habitat for Humanity International in Georgia.  I have been involved in a variety of discipleship classes, Alzheimer’s Support groups and volunteer jobs.  My husband, Hans, recently died after a 16 year journey with Alzheimer’s.  I am delighted to be an Administration Elder and leverage my finance, accounting and personnel experiences.

My husband Bill and I joined North Lake in 2005 after moving here from Christ Church Presbyterian in Youngstown, Ohio. I was an Elder there and have enjoyed being an Elder at North Lake. At North Lake, I have been the Leader of Esther Circle for Presbyterian Women. I am looking forward to serving as the Co-Moderator of Presbyterian Women beginning in fall of 2021.

A native of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia area, after retiring from a career in education, I moved to The Villages and have lived here full-time for 11 years. Serving God as an elder at North Lake Church has given me the opportunity to work alongside dedicated church administrators and staff to help optimize our church’s current ministry and outreach, and also to work to envision North Lake’s future. My area of focus as an elder is now in church ministry and mission.  I would love to hear from you.  Please contact me with any suggestions, questions, or simply to chat.
One of my favorite Bible verse passages is Proverbs 3:5-7, especially in the King James Version.  5. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. 7. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.”
Please pray that God will continue to bless our ministry at North Lake Church and guide us to the future path He wants us to take.

Dick and his wife Patty moved to The Villages from Groveland, Illinois in 2011. They were married 54 years ago and have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and one great grandson.  Dick grew up attending the First Presbyterian Church in Green Valley, Illinois where he was confirmed after attending confirmation classes. Dick worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 43 years in several different management positions before retiring in 2008.  Shortly after moving to The Villages, Dick and Patty were invited by a friend to visit NLPC and they immediately knew this was their new church home.  Since joining NLPC, they have attended both the Old and New Testament Bethel Bible classes and several other discipleship classes.
